The phone is equipped with built-in Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing just one cable to provide power and network connection. Alternatively, an A/C power kit can be provided. A 20ft (6.1m) microphone pickup and extra two expansion microphones allow the Soundstation IP 7000 to ensure that everyone in the conference room is always heard clearly. In addition, the automatic gain microphone control changes the sensitivity of the microphone, based on participant locations around the room, further enhancing the audio performance of this leading model of IP conference phones.
